Supervisory Security Specialist

To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.

• Serving as an expert or primary point of contact on security matters, including planning, installing, and maintaining physical security systems and equipment;
• Participating in contingency and emergency preparedness planning and coordinating with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies;
• Managing communications security (COMSEC) material and secure communications equipment;
• Administering programs for safeguarding, storage, and handling of classified and sensitive information in compliance with national and departmental requirements.
