GS-12:To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.
Specialized Experience- Serving as an expert or primary point of contact on security matters, including planning, installing, and maintaining physical security systems and equipment;
- Participating in contingency and emergency preparedness planning and coordinating with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies;
- Managing communications security (COMSEC) material and secure communications equipment;
- Administering programs for safeguarding, storage, and handling of classified and sensitive information in compliance with national and departmental requirements.
The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
