The APeX Ambulatory Analyst must achieve Epi Care Wisdom and Ambulatory certification (within 6 months of hire). The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $102,100 - $170,000 (Annual Rate).

The APeX Wisdom team falls under the Health IT department, which is responsible for the build and maintenance of the UCSF electronic health record (Epic). The APeX Wisdom Analyst position will report directly to the APeX Wisdom Team Lead and up through the APeX Ambulatory Manager.
Health IT is responsible for all aspects of the UCSF electronic health record software, Epic, also known as Apex (Advancing Patient-Centered Excellence) for UCSF hospitals, practices, affiliates and community partners. The APeX Ambulatory Analyst will work in collaboration with other APeX application teams, clinical/business operations and guides to enhance and maintain the Epic electronic health record. The analyst provides excellent customer service to end users, tracks issues and follows-up as appropriate.
Analysts will work in multiple locations, including UCSF Medical Center locations, Benioff Children’s Hospitals-Oakland and San Francisco, Stanyan and Hyde locations, and community connect partners.

- Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
- Three years of relevant work experience.
- Epic Wisdom and Ambulatory certification completed within 6 months of start date.
- Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s). Knowledge of systems and functions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
