Gong is seeking a Director of People Analytics to build and lead a strategic, enterprise-grade analytics function that drives measurable business impact. This leader will transform people data into actionable insights that improve retention, performance, workforce planning, and organizational health.
This role requires both strategic vision and operational execution — someone who can architect a trusted data ecosystem, deliver executive‑level decision support, and build a high‑performing analytics team that advances Gong’s analytics maturity from descriptive reporting to predictive insight.
Responsibilities- Lead the People Analytics function:
Define and execute a multi‑year vision and roadmap for People Analytics aligned to company strategy - Own and evolve the people data ecosystem:
Architect and scale a trusted, integrated people data foundation across systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, and Culture Amp. - Drive executive decision support:
Provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership and serve as a trusted thought partner on workforce strategy and long‑term organizational design. - Advanced predictive workforce insights:
Develop and deploy predictive statistical models that move the organization beyond descriptive reporting and evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, or build‑vs‑buy strategies to advance analytics maturity. - Elevate employee listening and organizational diagnostics:
Lead Gong’s employee listening strategy, translating engagement and culture data into targeted actions that improve organizational health and leadership effectiveness. - Build and lead a high‑performing team:
Hire, develop, and mentor a team of analytics professionals. - Partner cross‑functionally:
Collaborate with Finance, Data, and Technology teams to align workforce metrics with enterprise reporting and financial planning.
- 10+ years of experience in People Analytics, Workforce Planning, Data Strategy, or a related field, including 4+ years leading analytics teams.
- Demonstrated success building or scaling a People Analytics function in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
- Strong technical fluency across HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday), ATS systems (e.g., Greenhouse), employee listening tools (e.g., Culture Amp, Glint, Qualtrics), and people analytics platforms (e.g., Visier, One Model, Crunchr).
- Expertise in BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Experience developing predictive workforce models and advancing analytics maturity.
- Deep understanding of organizational health, engagement analytics, and talent metrics.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy, and HR data security frameworks.
- Executive‑level communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into strategic decisions.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and align analytics priorities with broader business strategy.
