As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you’ll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey.

• Manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are delivered successfully in the cloud.
• Build the technical relationship with customers and operate as their trusted advisor, shaping guidance based on their best interests.
• Act as the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
• Participate in creating and sharing best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g., whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize AWS through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences.
• Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
• Develop depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customers’ outcomes.

You will work with account managers to help customers accelerate their cloud implementation and modernize their business on AWS. You will help them transform existing workloads by designing modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using native and partner solutions.

Our teams focus on understanding customer key business drivers and their existing application architecture(s) to deliver technical recommendations with the goal of designing a robust cloud architecture that scales with their business.

The AWS Solutions Architecture team works with enterprise companies to design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions that enable global business growth cost‑efficiently.

• Experience in a major technology area such as Compute, Storage, Database, Developer Tools, Machine Learning, Security, or IoT.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent, or experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience or certifications in API design, cloud architecture/deployment, service‑oriented architecture, mobile development, performance optimization, database design and related fields.
• Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures.
• Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication in English.

• Experience with enterprise‑scale infrastructure or development‑based cloud programs/projects in a related industry.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud computing such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape.
• Experience creating and delivering written and oral communications for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience with cloud‑native technologies.
• Experience working in a customer‑facing environment.
