iOS / Swift Expertise Expectations

UI Complexity (Very Critical)

Experience with
complex UI work is critical
. This role heavily supports Chat and PPA experiences
, where animations, transitions, motion, and custom UI components are core to the user experience.
PPA experience is the single most important requirement
, followed closely by Health Center experience
. Candidates should have demonstrable experience building interactive, polished, UI-heavy mobile experiences
.

AI / PPA / Gen-AI Involvement The role is primarily focused on consuming APIs
, not building AI or Gen-AI models. The engineer will integrate AI-powered and PPA services into iOS user experiences, ensuring smooth UI, correct data handling, and strong performance. Experience working with API-driven personalization or AI-assisted features is ideal, but deep AI expertise is not required
.

What We’re Screening For

• Proven ownership of UI-heavy features
• Ability to reason through problems, not just execute tickets
• Comfort working across PPA, Chat, and Help Center surfaces
• Clear communication and collaboration with Product and Design

What We’re Not Optimizing For

• Backend or AI model development
• Candidates focused mainly on web, hybrid frameworks, or backend work
• Candidates with a fundamental level of front end development

Role Expectations & Skill Requirements

• Platform: iOS
• Language: Swift
• Must be a pure iOS developer capable of building features end-to-end
• Strong problem-solving ability prioritized over resume pedigree
• Emphasis on intellectual rigor and engineering depth (“who’s smarter,” not just strongest background)

UI / UX Complexity

• Experience with complex UI is critical
  , particularly for:
• Animations
• Transitions
• PPA experience: Extremely high priority
• Health Center experience: Extremely high priority

AI / PPA / Gen-AI Involvement

• Primary responsibility:
• Consuming APIs
• Building or training AI/Gen-AI models
• Focus: Integrating AI-powered services into user-facing iOS experiences
