About the Internship

We are looking for a Global Benefits Intern to join our team for a high‑impact role. You’ll help modernize our global benefits delivery, streamline operations with AI, document internal processes, and find creative ways to make benefits more accessible and engaging for our global workforce.

What You’ll Get to Do

This role is built on three core pillars:
AI‑Powered Communication, Operational Excellence (SOPs), and Employee Engagement
.

1. AI & Communication Innovation
  • Draft & Refine: Support the team with communications, ensuring they are clear, polished, inclusive, consistent, and tailored to diverse employee audiences.
  • Modernize Templates: Audit existing communication templates and collaborate with the team to modernize them, making them more visually appealing and easier to digest.
2. SOP Development & Optimization
  • Process Mapping: Work with subject matter experts to document complex benefits workflows into clear, actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain Knowledge Base: In collaboration with People Operations, update internal documentation to ensure we are operating with the latest information, reducing friction in daily benefits administration.
3. Employee Engagement & Experience
  • Webinar Coordination: Partner with the AV/Internal Communications team to organize and promote employee‑facing webinars, ensuring everything from the tech setup to the Q&A runs smoothly.
  • Website Revamp: Act as a "user‑tester" and content contributor for the benefits website revamp, ensuring the navigation and information architecture are intuitive for the end‑user.
4. General Support
  • Stretching to support the team regionally with renewals.
  • Support with Procurement and Security vendor protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Tech‑Forward: Comfortable experimenting with AI tools (e.g., Notebook

    LM or similar) to increase productivity and creativity.
  • Clear Communicator: Able to explain complex topics, such as "How a 401k works" or "Global Leave Policy", in a simple, human way.
  • Detail‑Oriented: Takes pride in documentation and notices missing or outdated steps in a process.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable working across departments, including AV teams and People team stakeholders outside of Benefits, to get things done.

Okta’s Intern Program

As an intern, you’ll do real work that matters. While you’re on board, you’ll work on meaningful projects and have an opportunity to see what working at Okta is all about. You’ll also receive support from a mentor and manager to help you develop new skills.

Our interns build a strong community—among their peers, within their teams, and with the broader company. You’ll have fun, participate in events like our Executive Speaker Series and Brown Bags, and join a community of like-minded individuals.

We offer 12‑week internships in the U.S. during the Summer. You may choose from the following options:
May 26 – August 14 or June 15 – September 4.
