Software Developer, Data Engineer, Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse teams to understand the underlying data structure of the databases.
• Analyze the source data and work with business users and developers to develop the Data Model.
• Develop and schedule jobs for extracting, cleaning, transforming and loading data into data warehouse using SSIs
• Create Stored Procedures, functions and database triggers in SQL Server database using Management Studio
• Develop, test, implement and document the Microsoft SSIS packages, SSRS reports and Tableau
• Dashboards according to the functional and technical specifications given by the users
• Create various types of data visualization reports using Bar and column charts, Stacked Area charts, Combo charts, Doughnut charts, Maps and varieties of dashboards using Tableau 10.0
• Work on the enhancements or the changes requested by the users in the project
• Support/Troubleshoot or debug the existing jobs which currently load the data into the project environment.
• Provide production support and help solve any issues with the failure in production jobs
• Participate in team and project meetings and presentations as needed
• Create Scripts to perform various data validation testing in all environments and deploy code to the next environment
• Log defects and fix bugs for Quality Check
• Document the technical specifications and modifying the Work Tracker, Design document, Release document and Matrices, etc. based on the requirement
• Support management in recommending process enhancements and analyze new procedures to enhance efficiency
