IT Support, Network Engineer, Technical Support
About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Network & IT Infrastructure Support Technician to support our district’s network, connectivity, and end-user technology environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical troubleshooting and physical infrastructure work, including cabling, hardware installation, and network support.
You will work closely with users, IT staff, vendors, and operations teams to help maintain reliable network and communication systems across multiple locations.

What You’ll Do
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network switches, routers, wireless equipment, and related infrastructure
• Support LAN/WAN connectivity and monitor WAN connections
• Perform cabling, patch panel, and physical-layer troubleshooting
• Provide first-level support for Cisco VOIP and analog phone systems
• Troubleshoot connectivity, wireless, and network performance issues
• Conduct network and communications testing and make adjustments as needed
• Maintain accurate network documentation, device inventories, and system records
• Support users with technical issues and explain solutions in a professional, user-friendly manner
• Assist with ongoing infrastructure improvements and technology upgrades
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and end users

Required Experience
• 2+ years of hands-on IT, networking, or infrastructure support experience
• Experience supporting LAN/WAN environments
• Experience with:
o Switches and routers
o Cabling and patch panels
o TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
o Wireless/network troubleshooting
o Physical-layer troubleshooting
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
• Hewlett Packard (HP) network switches
• Cisco networking environments
• Cisco VOIP systems
• Windows Server and Active Directory
• Exchange or Office 365
• VLANs and network configuration
• VPN and firewall troubleshooting
• Citrix Xen App/Xen Desktop
• Nexus OS or Cisco IOS exposure
