Role OverviewIn this role, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large‑scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering. You will review and analyze complex, multi‑faceted, and longer‑term engineering challenges that require in‑depth evaluation of multiple factors. This position involves contributing to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop Service Now Service Catalog solutions, including catalog items, UI forms, workflows, and integrations.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Implement features based on user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Perform unit testing and support end‑to‑end software development life cycle processes, including development, testing, and deployment.
- Manage update sets for code packaging and promotion across environments for release.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production defects, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams through developer calls and technical discussions.
- Leverage AI‑assisted tools for system design, coding, testing, analysis, and troubleshooting while ensuring alignment with security and compliance standards.
- 3–5 years of experience in Service Now development, specifically with the Service Catalog module, using Yokohama version or higher.
- 3–5 years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- 3–5 years of experience with Service Now business rules, scripting, and application development.
- 3–5 years of experience with Service Now ATF scripting or other automated testing tools.
- 2–3 years of experience in integration and API development using REST, JSON, etc.
- Must hold both Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications.
- Experience with Now Assist Agentic AI, such as Conversational Catalog.
- 2–3 years of experience with Service Now ECPro or latest portal development.
- Experience with Catalog Builder or equivalent citizen developer tools.
- Proficiency with Report Analytics, Workspace, Survey, ITSM, CMDB, and other Service Now modules.
- Experience with orchestration and interface tools such as Apigee, ESGA, Ansible, or Amelia.
- Front‑end development skills (JavaScript, React, Angular, HTML, CSS).
