Job Overview
Position:
Azure Cloud Solution Architect – San Francisco, CA. 6–20 years of experience. Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year.
- Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into secure, scalable Azure solutions.
- Assess current Azure architecture, identify gaps in scalability, security, and cost optimization, and redesign deployments to align with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and best practices.
- Design and implement Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) including networking, security, identity, and governance components.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for automated, repeatable deployments.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops for application and infrastructure delivery, with strong integration to source control (Git).
- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions (Azure Backup, Site Recovery, or equivalent) and monitor health with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Ensure compliance and governance through Azure Policy, role-based access control (RBAC), Conditional Access, and other security best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, produce documentation, and guide development and operations teams on architecture, automation, and security practices.
- Adhere to corporate policies, audit procedures, and control requirements while managing change through the CAB process.
- Participate in major incident bridge calls, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with peers across Architecture, Security, and Technology departments, and share knowledge across the organization.
- Continuously learn new technologies, produce knowledge‑base articles, and update standard operating procedures as needed.
- 6–20 years of professional experience in Azure cloud architecture and Dev Ops.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in Azure services, Terraform, ARM templates, CI/CD, and Azure Dev Ops.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Entra .
- Familiarity with VMware for hybrid cloud, Windows and Linux administration, and automation using Power Shell and Azure CLI.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service)."
- Experience in Fin Ops – cost optimization, Azure Cost Management, and Azure Advisor.
