Client is a leading academic medical center and health system recognized for excellence in patient care, research, and education. The organization is undertaking a large‑scale initiative to implement Epic Cupid and standardize cardiology workflows and systems across the enterprise. This role sits within the Cardiology IT team and will directly support a major cardiovascular transformation program.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and support the design of integrated cardiovascular workflows across Epic Cupid and multiple third‑party cardiology systems.
- Help standardize cardiology workflows, operational dependencies, and long‑term support models across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with the Cupid and cardio IT team to ensure the Epic build supports robust, sustainable integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HL7/interface issues
, including interface error work queues and message analysis. - Mentor and coach a team of ~4 analysts (Cupid + third‑party systems) on design, best practices, and decision‑making.
- Partner closely with clinical and operational leaders to translate business/clinical needs into clear technical requirements.
- Support governance and project work groups focused on future‑state workflows and integrations.
- Act as a key liaison with vendors
, challenging constraints where appropriate, and driving toward solutions that align with the client’s clinical and operational needs.
This role is hands‑on and highly collaborative; it does not include direct people management responsibilities but carries significant influence through mentorship and leadership.
Skill Set Requirements- Epic Cupid certification (current or recent).
- Multiple full lifecycle Epic Cupid implementations in a cardiology context (design, build, testing, go‑live support).
- Strong experience working with third‑party cardiology systems integrated with Epic.
- Hands‑on experience with:
- HL7 messaging concepts (orders, results, statuses, identifiers).
- Interface error work queues and message‑level troubleshooting.
- Understanding how Epic Cupid’s build/configuration impacts downstream systems.
- Proven ability to:
- Mentor and guide other analysts (both Cupid and third‑party application analysts).
- Translate clinical/operational requirements into technical specifications.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, operational leaders, technical teams, and vendors.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross‑functional project settings (IT, operations, vendors, clinical stakeholders).
- Experience integrating or supporting several of the following:
- Syngo Dynamics (or similar echo reporting solutions)
- GE CCW for EP reporting
- GE hemodynamics systems (e.g., Combo Labs, Mac‑Lab)
- MUSE or similar ECG systems
- Experience configuring third‑party cardiology systems specifically for Epic Cupid integrations (not just testing from the Epic side).
- Prior experience in a large academic medical center or complex multi‑site cardiology environment.
- Previous role as a senior/lead analyst or architect on an enterprise cardiology IT program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Required: Epic Cupid Certification.
- Preferred: Additional Epic certifications in related cardiology or ancillary modules (if applicable).
- No clinical license required; clinical background in cardiology or imaging is a plus.
