Solution Architect – Education Technology
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate our growing Education business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. The role requires close collaboration with Education Technology companies and the AWS ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers to design, implement, and evangelize cloud solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Bedrock, Sage Maker, and Cloud Front.
Responsibilities- Own the technical engagement and drive the success of specific projects, ensuring alignment with customer goals and AWS best practices.
- Define and design scalable, secure, and cost‑effective architectures on the AWS platform, tailoring solutions for the EdTech market.
- Lead technical design and thought leadership efforts, sharing best‑practice knowledge across the AWS Solution Architect community.
- Act as a strategic advisor to customers, guiding their business and technology strategy while maintaining deep expertise in AWS technologies and application construction.
- 8+ years of experience in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
- Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
