Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer

We’re hiring on behalf of a fast-growing technology company that is expanding its infrastructure and customer deployment function. They are looking for Infrastructure Engineers with roughly 2–5+ years of experience, with openings suitable for both a junior-to-mid-level engineer and a more experienced mid-level hire.

This role will focus on deploying a complex enterprise software platform into customer-controlled environments, including cloud VPCs and on‑premise infrastructure. You’ll work closely with customer IT, security, infrastructure, and platform teams to ensure deployments are secure, reliable, and production‑ready.

The role suits someone with strong Kubernetes, Terraform, networking, and cloud infrastructure experience who is comfortable working directly with technical stakeholders in live channels and customer calls.

• Managing end‑to‑end deployments into enterprise customer environments, including planning, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and rollout
• Deploying across cloud VPCs, hybrid environments, and on‑premise infrastructure
• Working directly with customer engineering, security, and platform teams to resolve deployment challenges
• Debugging infrastructure issues including Kubernetes configuration problems, cloud IAM permissions, networking constraints, and environment‑specific edge cases
• Building reusable monitoring, telemetry, automation, and deployment patterns to make future implementations smoother and more scalable
• Supporting deployments of compute‑intensive software workloads onto customer‑managed infrastructure
• Occasionally joining customer meetings or site visits where required

• 2–5+ years of infrastructure, platform, Dev Ops, SRE, or deployment engineering experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code experience
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including VPCs, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and security groups
• Comfortable troubleshooting complex customer‑specific infrastructure issues
• Clear communication skills and confidence working directly with external technical teams

• Experience in a high‑growth technology company, scale‑up, or technically demanding engineering environment
• Prior experience in solutions engineering, customer engineering, implementation engineering, or customer‑facing infrastructure work
• Experience deploying enterprise software into regulated, security‑conscious, or highly customised customer environments
• Exposure to ML, AI, data infrastructure, or compute‑heavy workloads
• Technical degree from a strong computer science, engineering, or related programme
