We deploy AI-powered sensor systems into utility field operations, mounted on backpacks and vehicles, to collect LiDAR and imagery data  models turn that raw data into actionable intelligence: reducing wildfire, outage, and regulatory risk from vegetation; preventing cost overruns on new construction; and accelerating recovery after storms.

Since our first utility pilot in June 2024, we've grown to work with three of the five largest utilities in the United States. We're just getting started.

Treeswift is looking for a reliable, hands‑on Hardware Repair technician based in San Francisco to keep our hardware running in the real world. You'll be the person on the ground — diagnosing issues, making repairs, and ensuring our devices perform at their best wherever they're deployed.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our hardware systems (LiDAR, sensors, cameras, power units)
• Visit PG&E offices across California to retrieve, assess, and return devices
• Follow diagnostic checklists and resolve issues before they escalated
• Communicate directly with utility staff in a professional, customer‑facing capacity
• Coordinate with our engineering team to flag recurring issues and share field feedback

• You are comfortable working independently in the field and representing Treeswift with customers
• You have hands‑on experience with tools and electronics
• You’re detail‑oriented and methodical — you follow a process and don’t cut corners
• You’re a strong communicator — you're comfortable communicating with customers on site and relaying clear information back to the team
• Based in San Francisco with personal vehicle and a consistent record of dependability/punctuality
• Experience with soldering, hardware diagnostics, or electronics repair is a plus

This is an hourly position at $30 Per hour at approximately 40 hours per week
