At EY, the Platforms Practice specializes in mission‑critical, intelligent platforms. The role is a Manager in Application Design and Development with responsibility for leading the delivery of processes, solutions, and projects, ensuring quality and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop solutions to complex problems, recommend changes to policies, and establish procedures impacting the work area.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for achieving results.
- Provide direction and feedback to team members, ensuring successful task completion.
- Engage regularly with external clients, participating in working sessions and leading work streams from planning through execution and closure.
- Travel may be required as needed by external clients.
- Lead one or more infrastructure work streams, driving execution and delivery.
- Work closely with development teams and participate in planning sessions to achieve high availability, reliability and performance of services and platform requirements.
- Collaborate with Platform, Security and other teams to align infrastructure with application requirements.
- Implement automated solutions for builds and deployments (CI/CD).
- Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
- Automate provisioning of infrastructure using tools such as Terraform.
- Apply SRE best practices, establish standards and policies for continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Agile delivery and development methodologies.
- Experienced in application delivery processes and application development tools.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and testing practices.
- Knowledgeable in system development lifecycle and technology integration.
- Provide depth and breadth in cloud and networking infrastructure best practices.
- Act as an approver for production changes and pull requests to maintain system stability.
- Strong hands‑on experience building and operating cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.
- Expert understanding of core Azure services such as Azure Functions, Container Apps, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, AKS, Azure Monitor, and Azure Managed Prometheus.
- Experience designing, deploying and managing container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes.
- Experience implementing SRE standards for resiliency and scalability of microservice architectures in Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform.
- Experience implementing SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets.
- Experience with CI/CD tools – preferably Git Hub Actions and Azure Dev Ops.
- Knowledge of agile methodology and ability to work by its principles.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑starter with quick problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required (4‑year degree).
- Typically 4–6 years of relevant experience.
- Proven record operating high‑availability services on Azure (4+ years).
- Proficiency in Azure’s core services and containers.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with SRE standards.
- Experience with Terraform.
- Experience with SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets.
- Experience monitoring container‑based microservices and cloud platform services.
- Experience with CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of agile methodology.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑starter.

Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range: $142,600 to $261,500 (US geographic locations). Salary ranges vary by metro area. Total Rewards includes health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off. Hybrid work model with 40‑60% onsite for client‑serving roles. Flexible vacation policy.
