Job SummaryDrata is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the growing data team as we scale to unicorn status. The role focuses on building data products at scale, ensuring data quality, and supporting self‑service for all teams.
What you’ll do- Automate processes in line with the company's automation value.
- Build data products that serve analytics, product and engineering services, and machine learning models.
- Optimize query performance and reduce data ingestion and processing time.
- Contribute to building the data modeling layer.
- Establish strong data governance processes.
- Develop training and documentation to empower analysts to transform data independently.
- Interview, hire, and train future data engineers.
- Administer data orchestration through modern tools and concepts such as ETL, ELT, reverse ETL, etc.
- 5+ years of experience as a data engineer.
- Expertise in writing analytical SQL and building performant queries.
- Fluency in Python.
- Experience with platforms such as Stitch, Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, Looker, Mode, Sigma, Hightouch, Census.
- Clear, concise communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex data flows to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bonus: experience building machine‑learning pipelines.
- Curiosity and investigative mindset.

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and stock, typically in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Salary range: $151,700 - $205,300. Compensation may vary based on experience and role leveling.
