Responsibilities- Manage vendors and coordinate all activities of the Onsite Technology
Functional Area
. - Design, configure, and implement hardware and software systems.
- Deploy and collect computer hardware and software operating systems.
- Serve as on‑floor technology lead for assigned areas (front‑of‑house, back‑of‑house, etc.).
- Work with the Sr. Venue Technology Manager on planning, design, delivery, implementation, testing, operation, decommissioning and reinstatement of all technology services.
- Contribute to venue project planning ensuring that technical and operational spaces, power, network, and equipment are incorporated.
- Implement overall strategy for venue operations technology (access control, production, audio/visual, network infrastructure).
- Monitor critical technology systems and proactively identify issues.
- Act as first escalation point for technology incidents.
- Respond to and resolve in‑person technology support requests during events.
- Provide hands‑on troubleshooting for hardware, software, connectivity, and user issues.
- Document incidents, actions taken and resolutions for post‑event review.
- Deploy, configure, and test event‑critical technology equipment.
- Perform quick swaps or repairs to minimize downtime.
- Support vendor load‑in/load‑out activities and ensure adherence to SOWs, schedules, and protocols.
- Perform system checks, testing, and setup ahead of upcoming events.
- Assist with rehearsals, dry runs, and operational readiness reviews.
- Support temporary builds, activations, and special event setups.
- Assist with inventory tracking, storage organization, and asset control.
- Ensure equipment is properly returned, charged, and stored.
- Flag damaged, missing, or aging equipment for repair or replacement.
- Assist with vendor scheduling, onsite coordination, and task execution.
- Verify completion of vendor work and report status to Sr. Venue Technology Manager.
- Support compliance with venue technology standards and policies.
- Handle venue technology support requests during standard operating hours.
- Document recurring issues, assist root‑cause analysis, and track to closure.
- Maintain communication with Sr. Venue Technology Manager on status and risks.
- Provide real‑time updates during the event and contribute to post‑event incident summaries.
- Support access control devices throughout the village and venue.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Technology management experience in on‑site/field technology support and project management, preferably in ticket and hospitality industry with major sporting events.
- Project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technology concepts.
- End‑to‑end understanding of integrated technologies delivering a smooth venue experience.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex, mission‑critical technology programs and operations through 3rd party vendors.
- Sound understanding of IT/telecommunications, Wi‑Fi, network cabling, and troubleshooting.
- Experience delivering production IT services in high availability environment with SLA/OLAs.
- Experience managing third‑party suppliers in multi‑vendor environment.
- Proficiency with desktop and mobile OS systems such as Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux, and MS Office 365.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment within high‑profile international projects.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish preferred.
- Experience in technology role at medium to large‑scale events such as World Cups, Commonwealth, Euros, Olympic Games.
- Experience in ticketing, travel, or hospitality industry.
- Experience in Audio/Visual systems configuration and troubleshooting.
Location:
San Francisco Bay Area, CA.
Compensation: $2,200 weekly rate based on 40 hours per week. Salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
