Founders Associate - Minoa (San Francisco, In-Person)
San Francisco | $90-130k base + equity | In-person, SF-based
About MinoaThe question every buyer asks before signing a deal isn't "what does this cost?" It's "what is this actually worth to us, and can you prove it?"
There's no infrastructure for this yet. It's done by consultants charging $500/hr, by sales teams guessing in spreadsheets, or it doesn't get done oa is building the intelligence layer for the outcome economy. We deploy Value Agents that help organizations uncover their unique value, build rigorous business cases in minutes, and measure ROI across the full customer lifecycle, creating the AI platform for value intelligence.
We work with some of the best companies in and outside of Silicon Valley, like Snowflake (3,000+ reps on the platform), Ironclad, Vanta, Benchling, Cognite, and Pendo. Zero churn. Team of 6. We're not optimizing an existing category. We're building a new one.
Why this role existsMinoa is at the stage where the founders are still touching everything: GTM strategy, internal ops, investor materials, sales prep, hiring, process design. That's how it should be at this size. But the sheer surface area of what needs to happen every week is outpacing what two people can execute well, even with AI multiplying their output.
We're hiring a Founder Associate to work directly with the CEO and become the person who turns founder intent into structured execution. The mandate isn't a single function. It's whatever is most important to the company this week, done with rigor and follow-through. Over time, as you develop deep expertise in specific areas, you'll have the opportunity to own a function entirely.
This is not a Chief of Staff role. You're not managing up or coordinating across a large org. You're in the trenches building things alongside the founders at a company with 14 enterprise customers and massive ambitions.
What you'll do- Build internal systems and operations. We're a small team scaling fast. You'll design and implement the internal infrastructure that keeps us organized: project management, documentation, reporting cadences, team workflows. Not picking tools for the sake of it, but building systems that actually make the team faster and more accountable.
- Support GTM execution. Prep materials for sales calls. Research prospects and accounts. Help structure outreach campaigns. Pull together competitive intelligence. When a deal matters, you make sure we walk into every conversation over-prepared.
- Prepare investor and board materials. Synthesize company metrics, narratives, and strategic updates into clear, compelling materials. You'll get direct exposure to how we communicate with our investors and board.
- Drive strategic projects. Some weeks the most important thing is a pricing analysis. Other weeks it's mapping out a new market segment, structuring a partnership conversation, or building an internal automation that saves everyone 5 hours a week. You'll identify what matters most and execute.
- Use AI as your default toolkit. You'll live in Claude, Cursor, and other AI tools daily. Not because it's trendy, but because a single person with the right AI workflow can produce the output of a small team. We expect you to build internal tools, automate repetitive work, draft and iterate on documents, and prototype solutions using AI before asking for help.
you are
- Structured and rigorous. You don't just generate ideas; you close loops. When you take something on, it gets done with a clear plan, a timeline, and follow-through. You bring order to chaos rather than adding to it.
- Entrepreneurial and high-agency. You've worked at an early-stage startup, tried to build something yourself, or found ways to operate like a founder inside a larger organization. You don't wait for permission or instructions. You see what needs to happen and you go do it.
- AI-native. You already use AI tools daily in your work, not as a novelty but as core infrastructure. You've built automations, used Claude or ChatGPT to draft and analyze, and you're comfortable picking up new tools like Cursor, n8n, or API integrations without extensive hand-holding.
- A clear communicator. You can write a crisp investor update, prep a tight sales brief, and summarize a complex strategic question in a way that makes it easy for the founders to make a decision. You adjust your communication to the audience.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, but you create clarity. Startups at our stage are messy by nature. You don't need a detailed job description to know what to work on. But importantly, you're the person who takes that mess and creates structure from it, not someone who thrives in chaos for its own sake.
- 1-2 years of professional experience. You've worked before, ideally at a startup or in a fast-paced environment like consulting with exposure to startups. You know what it means to deliver under pressure and you're ready to go deep on building a company.
