The Cloud Infrastructure team builds and operates the foundational infrastructure that lets Tessera run reliably, securely, and consistently across customer environments. This includes a portable cloud infrastructure that makes each environment production‑ready: container orchestration (Kubernetes), networking, and automation that ensures our product behaves the same regardless of the underlying cloud provider. This high‑impact role directly enables our ability to onboard and operate enterprise customer environments under strict security and compliance constraints while preserving developer velocity.

The work reduces integration risk, standardizes operational practices across hyperscalers, and ensures product teams can ship safely without infrastructure becoming a bottleneck.

As a Cloud Infrastructure / Dev Ops Engineer, you’ll design and own production‑grade infrastructure that supports Tessera’s AI systems across multiple cloud providers. You’ll work on everything from Kubernetes and Terraform to observability, security, and reliability—with real ownership over architectural decisions. This is a hands‑on, senior IC role for someone who enjoys thinking deeply about systems and building infrastructure the right way.

• Design, build, and maintain production‑grade cloud infrastructure
• Be part of a team that supports Tessera’s infrastructure across every cloud provider
• Design, build, and operate Tessera’s multi‑cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP and Oracle
• Enable portable infrastructure across customer environments
• Improve observability, security, and system reliability
• Deploy and operate applications using Kubernetes and Terraform
• Partner closely with product and platform engineers to unblock delivery
• Design and build CI/CD pipelines, own the end‑to‑end automation of build, test, and deployment workflows for both infrastructure and application code
• Build and maintain a reusable automation framework for day‑to‑day Dev Ops and developer workflows, covering environment provisioning, secret rotation, dependency updates, compliance checks, and release management
• Automate operational runbooks and recurring processes, identify manual work across the engineering org and systematically eliminate it through scripts, pipeline stages, and self‑service tooling
• Champion an automation‑first mindset across the team, ensuring every repeated task is automated and every automation is observable and maintained like production code

• 3+ years experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes
• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
• Proven track record designing and owning CI/CD systems, pipeline architecture, Git Ops‑driven deployments, release automation, and pipeline‑as‑code practices
• Experience building automation frameworks for Dev Ops and developer workflows, including scripting (Bash, Python, or similar), workflow orchestration, and self‑service tooling that reduces manual intervention across engineering processes
• Strong networking fundamentals
  
  Proven experience deploying and operating real production systems

• Experience with FluxCD or other Git Ops controllers (ArgoCD, etc.)
• Understanding of cloud security and Dev Sec Ops , integrating security gates, SBOM generation, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines
• A passion and curiosity about clean, unified infrastructure and best practices

• Somebody with a passion for learning new things and robust, reliable infrastructure
• Comfortable owning and defending complex infrastructure decisions
• Experienced in startups and/or big‑tech environments
• Highly self‑motivated with a strong ownership mindset
• Someone who enjoys building foundational systems that other engineers rely on

Compensation Range: $200K - $250K
