IT Consultant
The Role
Veeva is looking for a Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance senior consultant to join the Professional Services team and support our Vault Safety solution implementation. As a Safety Senior Consultant, you will support a group of biopharmaceutical customers in implementing Veeva Safety on Veeva’s development cloud platform, lead workshop discussions, design solutions, and collaborate with other leads on project assignments.
What You’ll Do- Lead business workshops to gather and document business functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Think critically to help design the solution requested by customers and anticipate additional needs.
- Work closely with the configuration team in developing the solution.
- Act as customer liaison, managing communication between implementation, customer stakeholders, and internal Veeva product teams.
- Help customers with data migration activities by providing expert advisory.
- Guide customers in adopting Vault and industry best practices as part of implementation programs focused on the holistic success of the customer.
- Drive change‑management methodology for customers transitioning from on‑premises to SaaS solutions.
- 10+ years of life sciences industry experience, with the majority spent in the Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance domain and in a consulting function.
- Knowledge of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance processes and regulations.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries on safety data sets.
- Experience implementing safety systems such as Aris, Argus, Emperica, Commonwealth, RxLogix, or similar home‑grown systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and deliver high customer satisfaction.
- Experience building aggregate and analytical reports on safety data sets (preferred).
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience as an individual contributor.
- Ability to act with speed to understand business requirements, create solution designs, and willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to deliver Vault Safety.
- Exposure to life sciences compliance and computer systems validation requirements.
- Ability to travel up to approximately 25% of project time.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Right attitude and mindset to work toward customer success.
- Track record supporting high‑impact global system implementation programs as a consultant, business, or IT lead.
- Direct experience with Argus or other drug safety applications.
- Exposure to SQL/PLSQL programming language.
- Life science, computer science, or related degree.
- Experience with SaaS/Cloud.
- Experience in services delivery management and/or system implementation.
