Our Internal Audit (IA) team is responsible for providing objective feedback and insights across the company in relation to the design and effectiveness of Stripe’s business processes, its compliance with laws and regulations and its risk management framework. In a rapid‑growth, high‑volume environment, the team collaborates across functions to deliver data‑driven insights throughout the IA lifecycle. The Data Analytics (DA) Lead will support data analytics and audit fieldwork in execution of the approved Global Audit Plan, develop embedded audit analytics, and drive the use of AI to increase audit efficiency and effectiveness.

This position can be based in Toronto, New York, or San Francisco.

• Complete data analytics as part of audit engagements in collaboration with the IA team.
• Drive the use of AI across the audit team and leverage it in audit engagements.
• Participate in audit walkthroughs and develop work programs for the in‑scope areas.
• Lead DA brainstorming sessions with the audit team to discuss best use of data analytics techniques in audit planning and fieldwork.
• Assist with substantive testing of audit findings during reporting.
• Document the data analytics and audit tests in work papers.

• 5‑10 years of professional experience working in audit data analytics.
• Expertise with SQL, schema and ETL design, and data pipeline development/maintenance (e.g., Airflow).
• Familiarity with scripting/programming for data mining and modeling (R, Python) and ETL development (Python).
• Experience with and knowledge of machine learning techniques.
• Experience with reporting and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
• Exquisite attention to detail.
• A passion for building unreasonably good products and for driving defining impact.
• Versatility and willingness to learn new technologies on the job.
• High tolerance for rapid change and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and share succinctly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience working with basic git command.

Office‑assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team, and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office.

Some teams have greater in‑office attendance requirements, and the hiring manager will discuss these expectations. This approach balances collaboration and flexibility.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $153,600 - $230,400. For sales roles, the range provided is the On Target Earnings (OTE) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
