For our client, we are seeking a Tech Lead Deployment & Operations - Custom Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross‑functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency.

The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a technology‑driven environment.

Location:

San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $342,000 – $445,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Lead team for deployment and operations of custom silicon in data centers
  • Oversee hardware bring‑up, validation, and production deployment
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for successful large‑scale deployment
  • Define processes and practices for operational readiness and reliability
  • Drive execution across systems integration and issue resolution in data centers
  • Stay involved in technical aspects like architecture reviews and debugging
  • Identify gaps in processes and propose solutions for operational improvements
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in hardware systems, data center deployment, or related domains
  • Technical depth in hardware deployment, operations, silicon bring‑up, and reliability engineering
  • Experience transitioning complex hardware systems into production environments
  • Collaboration experience with silicon, systems, software, or data center teams
  • Proven capabilities in deployment planning, incident response, and debugging production systems
  • Skilled in building operational tools and automation to enhance deployment quality
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop senior technical talent
