Position Summary

This hybrid role is based in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and the position does not sponsor work visas.

Responsibilities
  • Provide risk leadership in support of technology portfolios, including issues management, audit, regulatory, and second‑line of defense observations.
  • Provide program management support for large and complex risk remediation projects.
  • Develop and deliver executive‑level communication, including risk updates, strategy materials, and tailored presentations for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Translate complex risk matters into actionable plans.
  • Maintain working knowledge of technical, data, and security industry frameworks and regulatory requirements (FFIEC, NIST, ISO).
  • Develop and maintain technology policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines; ensure policy approval processes are followed.
  • Analyze policy and standard changes across the enterprise to identify impacts and to propose solutions to technology teams.
  • Maintain technology process and internal control environment inventories.
  • Act as the point of contact for technology‑focused external and internal audits and assessments (SOC2, PCI DSS, and others).
  • Effectively communicate technology and security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Validate solutions being implemented align with approved policy in collaboration with technology and security teams.
  • Serve as liaison to Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management.
  • Perform control testing of technology controls for proper implementation and operation.
  • Create, facilitate, and manage risk identification and remediation processes.
  • Ensure risk remediation plans exist, track them to completion, and verify on‑time, sustainable resolution by risk owners.
  • Drive improvements in confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Identify and implement process improvement efforts.
  • Work with process and control owners to define and implement control performance requirements.
  • Support the company’s commitment to risk management and the protection of system and data integrity and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Seven or more years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27000, PCI DSS, NIST 800‑53a, COBIT, FFIEC handbook, SOC2 TypeII, GLBA, FCRA, and FISMA.
  • Effective communication, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Background and drug screen clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of work experience in security, governance, compliance, IT audit, information technology, or related fields.
  • Certification in one of CISA, CISSP, CCSP, CRISC, or ability to pursue one within the first twelve months of hire.
  • Experience with security‑related technologies, including firewalls, IDS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, anti‑virus, data leak prevention, two‑factor authentication, and VPN.
  • Experience in implementing cloud transformation and operational risks and controls.
  • Experience managing business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
Physical Requirements

The role is performed in a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching may be required. Lifting up to ten pounds occasionally is necessary. Visual acuity and dexterity are required to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment. The incumbent must be able to communicate with internal and external customers and will perform related duties as assigned by their supervisor.
