Asset Management Specialist
Trident Consulting is seeking an Asset Management Specialist for one of our clients in USA - Remote, a global leader in the cybersecurity industry.
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fixed Asset Management (FAM) Specialist to join our fast-paced Fixed Asset Management (FAM) team. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of our hardware lifecycle, from initial procurement and "Construction in Progress" (CIP) research to final decommissioning. You will work within a self-managed team environment that requires high levels of autonomy, professional communication, and the ability to pivot priorities rapidly based on shifting operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle & Inventory Management
- Manage the end-to-end hardware lifecycle, including tracking assets across various platforms such as WASP, Net Suite, and Nlyte.
- Perform detailed "Line by Line" research to reconcile assets, focusing on Serial Number (S/N) and MAC .
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain and update Google Sheets and Excel workbooks using advanced formulas to automate data comparison tasks.
- Generate monthly and ad-hoc financial reports for the Fixed Assets Accounting team.
- Perform deep-dive historical financial research to support quarterly/yearly audits.
Workflow & Communication
- Utilize Jira to track requests, manage dashboards, and ensure automated integration with procurement workflows.
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal financial teams and external partners regarding asset placement and status updates.
- Engage in daily with team members regarding asset movement, addressing issues, and operational impacts.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Experience:
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. - Technical Literacy:
Solid working knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel, specifically regarding formulas and data visualization. - Asset Management:
Strong understanding of Fixed Asset Management (FAM) principles and lifecycle stages. - Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to cross-functionally collaborate and proactively ask questions. - Self-Management:
Demonstrated willingness and ability to take full ownership of assigned projects while remaining a strong team collaborator.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jira for task management and workflow automation.
- Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Net Suite, Coupa, WASP, or Nlyte.
- Understanding of data center infrastructure and hardware components (Servers, Network Equipment, SSDs).
- Ability to perform "flexible prioritization," adjusting daily tasks based on urgent "ADHOC" requests from executive/senior leadership.
