Delivery Consultant - Modernization, AWS Professional Services

Overview

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services Pro Serve team is seeking a Delivery Consultant – Application Modernization to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet technical requirements and business objectives. You will lead customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role, you will lead the architecture of complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer. You’ll gather requirements, assess current applications, and propose migration strategies to AWS. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, while leading the implementation, ensuring best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team helping customers realize desired business outcomes with the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud initiatives and provide guidance through specialty practices across various solutions and industries.

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
• Experience as a tech lead or leading a high performing consulting team

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
• 3+ years of architecting/operating solutions on any cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or above, or AWS Professional level certification
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards across enterprise IT
• AWS experience with a broad range of services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Cloud Formation)
• Experience with automation/scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience leading large-scale software development and modernization initiatives, with expertise in multiple languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript) and Generative AI tools
• Proven ability to lead software engineering best practices across testing, source control, code reviews, and deployment processes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
