Job Summary

A senior security architecture role focused on enterprise customers across multiple industry verticals, driving adoption of AWS Security Services and shaping the product roadmap.

• Serve as the long‑term security architect for a defined set of enterprise customers within one to two industry verticals, guiding them from initial discovery through launch readiness.
• Partner with a dedicated Security Specialist Seller, owning solution architecture, technical validation, and customer confidence while the seller manages opportunity origination and deal strategy.
• Drive adoption of AWS Security Services (Security Hub, Guard Duty, Inspector, Detective, IAM Identity Center, Macie, Security Lake, Network Firewall, WAF, and emerging capabilities) across three motions: deepening existing account adoption, enabling CISO‑org relationships, and supporting competitive displacement.
• Lead technical conversations with CISOs, VP‑level security leaders, and engineering teams through architecture reviews, security assessments, and proof‑of‑concept guidance.
• Design and architect security solutions for generative AI and agentic AI workloads.
• Translate recurring customer friction and market evolution into structured product feedback that shapes the AWS security services roadmap.
• Publish reusable assets (reference architectures, blogs, workshops, conference sessions) that scale impact beyond individual engagements.
• Own at least one team‑level initiative per year that raises the bar for the function as it scales.

Your morning might start with a financial services customer whose CISO needs to consolidate five security vendors into a unified posture‑management framework – you map their current detection stack against AWS‑native capabilities and sketch a phased migration plan. After lunch, you guide a healthcare customer’s engineering team through an architecture for securing agentic AI workloads that interact with sensitive data. Between meetings, you draft a brief on a pattern seen across three accounts and flag it to the product team.

No two days look the same, but depth and follow‑through are constant.

You will join a newly formed team of Security Services Solutions Architects within AWS Industries, accelerating enterprise customer adoption of AWS security services through a dedicated commercial go‑to‑market motion.

• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
• Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive‑level stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience in a professional field or military.
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
• Experience with in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience designing, implementing, or consulting on applications and infrastructures.
• Experience delivering presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.

• Experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.

Salary range: $ – $ USD annually. The package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
