Hardware Test Technician I

Duration: 12 Months

Pay Rate: $35-$40/hr

Onsite warehouse San Francisco.

Work will primarily consist of hands-on bench testing, hardware handling, and operational processing activities.

Resources should be available for full-time onsite support during standard business hours.

Hardware & System Validation:
Setting up, testing, and verifying the functionality of hardware devices, sensors, and compute platforms against defined pass/fail criteria.

Software, Firmware, & Lifecycle Updates:
Installing software, executing automated scripts, and performing firmware/driver updates to ensure expected system behavior.

Inventory, Disposition, & Pipeline Support:
Routing validated or defective hardware through the correct distribution or RMA/repair channels while maintaining asset tracking and supporting the continuous throughput of the validation pipeline.

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Ability to read, understand, and execute documented procedures.
• Ability to execute command-line utilities and existing scripts.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
• Experience working in a technical lab, manufacturing, warehouse, testing, or hardware support environment

• Experience performing hardware testing or validation activities.
• Familiarity with firmware updates, software installation, and driver management.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, Power Shell, or similar).
• Experience with inventory control, shipping/receiving, or RMA processes.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot straightforward hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with AV components and sensors
