Network Architect

This role seeks a senior architect with ten to fourteen years of experience in enterprise wireless and network engineering to support highly available and scalable connectivity for global business users. Responsibilities include creation of new VPN tunnels, automatic failover configuration, link changes to the overall network architecture, dynamic routing due to AWS limitations, and separation of core network VLAN 101 traffic for data and management traffics.

Design robust enterprise wireless architectures using Cisco wireless technologies and core wireless networking concepts. Define target state network topologies that integrate wireless systems, routing, and switching to deliver predictable performance and simplified operations across hybrid corporate environments. Oversee end to end wireless system integration efforts so that controllers, access points, authentication services, and monitoring tools operate cohesively and reliably. Develop detailed network designs that use Cisco routing and switching capabilities to ensure efficient traffic flows, resilient paths, and clear separation of critical business segments.

Configure and optimize wireless protocols and network foundation components to enhance roaming experience, reduce interference, and maintain consistent coverage in complex office layouts. Implement and fine tune Palo Alto firewall policies to safeguard wireless and wired traffic while balancing strong security controls with seamless user access. Design secure VPN solutions using Cisco VPN and related VPN networking technologies to provide reliable remote connectivity for distributed teams and partner organizations.

Collaborate with cloud teams to architect AWS networking integrations that connect on premises wireless and core networks with cloud workloads using secure and performant patterns. Create network standards and configuration templates for Cisco wireless, routing, and switching environments to drive consistency, reduce configuration drift, and simplify future expansions. Perform in depth troubleshooting across wireless, firewall, and routing domains to quickly resolve incidents, minimize downtime, and identify root causes for long term remediation.

Develop monitoring and observability strategies for wireless and core networking components that use metrics, logs, and alerts to detect anomalies and performance degradation early. Document architectures, network diagrams, and configuration guidelines in clear and accessible formats so that operations teams can support the environment effectively. Partner with security, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure network architectures align with organizational security baselines, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations.

Guide adoption of networking best practices including segmentation, high availability, capacity planning, and change control to maintain a stable and secure network ecosystem. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing wireless coverage, simplifying network designs, and reducing operational risk across hybrid work models.

Exhibit strong expertise in Cisco wireless solutions, wireless networking concepts, and wireless system integration gained through extensive hands on design and implementation experience. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in switching and routing with Cisco platforms including deep understanding of routing protocols, redundancy mechanisms, and traffic engineering techniques. Show practical experience with Palo Alto firewall configuration, policy design, and integration with network services to deliver secure and reliable access for enterprise environments.

Hold solid knowledge of VPN networking and Cisco VPN technologies used to deliver secure connectivity for remote users, branches, and partner organizations. Possess proven background in AWS networking including design of virtual private clouds, routing, and secure connectivity between cloud and on premises networks. Display a strong networking foundation covering core networking principles, performance optimization, and troubleshooting methodologies in medium to large scale environments.

Bring prior experience working in hybrid work models, collaborating across distributed teams, and supporting day shift operations for global enterprises.
