The Technology Sourcing Specialist is a subject matter expert and experienced problem-solver responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives that support corporate functions and technology needs on a global scale. In this role, you will partner closely with our Technology teams and other corporate stakeholders to shape category strategies, optimize spend, and ensure that sourcing outcomes are aligned with enterprise business goals.

As a skilled and collaborative leader, you will influence key decisions, guide others through complex challenges, and help maintain our position at the leading edge of innovative, world-class entertainment operations.

In this role, you will integrate spend analytics, market insights, and supplier relationship management to develop and execute category and country strategies that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth across our Corporate portfolio. You will lead or coordinate functional sourcing projects, mentor individual contributors, and collaborate across regions and business units to manage complex categories and sub-categories, often within a matrix environment.

This role matters because it ensures that Disney's corporate and technology sourcing strategies remain innovative, strategic, and globally competitive, requiring a collaborative, adaptable, and inspirational leader who can plan and prioritize effectively, hold self and others accountable, and build strong partnerships to achieve shared goals.

  • Serve as an individual contributor focused on technology strategic sourcing, partnering closely with Technology teams across the organization to deliver aligned sourcing outcomes.
  • Develop and implement category and country strategy plans, including business cases, contingencies, and critical paths, to influence spend and drive strategic decisions with operational and functional stakeholders.
  • Integrate spend data analytics, market insights, negotiation planning, risk mitigation, strategic problem solving, and supplier relationship management to ensure comprehensive, business-aligned sourcing strategies.
  • Demonstrate a strong global understanding of the category and its supply market, managing markets by monitoring industry trends, competition, and supplier risks using tools such as Porter's Five Forces, SWOT, and PESTLE analysis.
  • Develop and manage category strategies that maximize profits, increase efficiencies, and drive business unit growth globally, leveraging synergy opportunities across the organization and global markets.
  • Organize and drive internal resources to support sourcing initiatives, building effective relationships with key suppliers and implementing supplier relationship management programs to maximize outcomes and develop new supplier strategies.
  • Lead others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought, exercising judgment to identify innovative solutions as a subject matter expert in assigned categories and/or sub-categories.
  • May lead functional teams or sourcing projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity, including regional categories, small countries or clusters, and matrixed teams across markets.
  • Participate in the evaluation of complex strategies related to categories and sub-categories, including spend ranging from approximately 15 to 60 million or more, considering regional and global market dynamics.
  • Communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers to adopt different points of view, identifying opportunities, building commitment, and coaching others through change from inception to desired outcomes for categories, countries, and clusters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with operational and functional leaders (generally director and below) across categories, countries, and clusters, engaging with multiple business units and, as needed, senior leadership for respective areas.
  • Ensure accountability, effective planning, and collaboration by aligning team performance with department goals, providing coaching, and creating an environment where Disney values are experienced through inclusive, creative problem solving and open dialogue.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong strategic sourcing expertise with the ability to act as a subject matter expert, skilled problem-solver, and experienced lead in complex category environments.
  • Advanced analytical skills and a logical approach to complex matters, including experience with spend analytics, market analysis, and structured risk assessment tools (e.g., Porter's Five Forces, SWOT, PESTLE).
  • Proficiency in negotiation planning, supplier relationship management, and strategic problem solving to deliver comprehensive, business-aligned sourcing outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build effective relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers in a regional or global, matrixed environment.
