About the job Salesforce Technical Project Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Salesforce Technical Project Manager with strong Salesforce Platformdelivery experience to lead client-facing implementations end-to-end. This is an on-site engagement requiring presence at the client's office 3 days per week in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The right candidate brings a strong technical background in the Salesforce platform, proven project management skills, and the ability to run delivery work streams across architects, developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Project Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Salesforce projects covering scope, timeline, budget, risk, and quality
  • Run project ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and steering committee updates
  • Build and maintain project plans, delivery roadmaps, and status reports for client and internal stakeholders
  • Manage project financials including forecasting, burn tracking, and change order management
  • Identify, track, and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies across work streams

Technical Leadership

  • Partner with Salesforce architects and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Review solution designs and delivery approach to ensure alignment with Salesforce best practices
  • Guide teams through configuration, custom development, integration, and deployment phases
  • Ensure technical deliverables meet quality standards including code reviews, testing, and documentation
  • Oversee release management, environment strategy, and deployment activities

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders at both business and technical levels
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, solution walkthroughs, and UAT sessions
  • Manage client expectations on scope, timeline, and delivery trade-offs
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, integration, and data teams

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Have

  • 8+ years of experience in IT delivery, with 4+ years managing Salesforce projects in a technical PM or delivery lead capacity
  • Strong hands-on understanding of Salesforce platform concepts including Apex, LWC, Flows, and integration patterns
  • Track record of delivering Salesforce implementations end-to-end in a consulting or client-facing environment
  • Proven experience managing project financials, resourcing, and delivery risk
  • Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area — on-site presence required 3 days per week (this is non-negotiable)
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only

Technical Depth

  • Salesforce Sales Cloud — opportunity management, lead/contact models, forecasting, and related automation
  • Understanding of Apex, LWC, and declarative Salesforce development sufficient to guide technical teams and review solution design
  • REST/SOAP API integration patterns and common integration architectures
  • Release management, environment strategy, and CI/CD practices (e.g. Copado, Gearset, SF CLI)
  • Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, CPQ, Marketing Cloud, or Data Cloud
  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer certification
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification
  • Experience managing distributed or offshore delivery teams
  • Exposure to data migration and large-scale integration projects

WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • Ability to balance technical depth with strong project management discipline
  • Clear communication skills and confidence working directly with executive and business stakeholders
  • A delivery-oriented mindset with attention to quality, detail, and client outcomes
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive teams to clear deliverables
