AWS Administrator (L2) with Kubernetes
We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator (L2) with strong expertise in Kubernetes to manage, support, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day administration, deployments, monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting across AWS services and containerized environments.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Administration (L2)
- Manage and administer AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, ELB, RDS, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, and Lambda.
- Perform L2 support activities such as incident resolution, service restoration, root cause analysis, and operational SLAs.
- Implement and manage security controls, IAM policies, access management, and compliance standards.
- Handle backup & recovery, patching, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- Assist in implementing high availability (HA), DR planning, and multi-AZ deployments.
Kubernetes / Containerization
- Deploy, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred).
- Handle container orchestration, scaling, rollouts/rollbacks, namespace management, and cluster upgrades.
- Manage Docker images, container registries, and CI/CD pipelines for K8s deployments.
- Troubleshoot pod issues, cluster networking, ingress, and RBAC policies.
Automation & Dev Ops Support
- Write scripts using Bash/Python for automation, monitoring, and operational tasks.
- Work closely with Dev Ops teams to support automated deployments and infrastructure as code (Terraform/Cloud Formation).
- Improve operational efficiency through automation of repetitive tasks.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor system performance using Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Resolve alerts, performance issues, and service outages in a timely manner.
- Provide L2/L3 support for cloud and Kubernetes environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience as an AWS Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of AWS core services and cloud best practices.
- Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred).
- Good understanding of networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups).
- Experience with Linux administration.
- Scripting knowledge (Bash/Python).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Understanding of Terraform or Cloud Formation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Sys Ops Certification.
- Kubernetes Certification (CKA/CKAD) preferred.
- Experience in enterprise cloud migrations or modernization projects.
