We’re a new research lab in San Francisco, focused on developing foundational capabilities for AI agents. Our research explores combining large language models (LLMs) with reinforcement learning (RL) to solve reasoning and planning, learned world models, and generalize agents to physical environments. We leverage Amazon’s broader AGI team and the state‑of‑the‑art foundation models (Amazon Nova).
Key Job ResponsibilitiesThe Product Manager – Technical role in the AGI Autonomy Lab focuses on defining and prioritizing tooling roadmaps that support data collection, model evaluation, and release processes, balancing custom builds. You will bridge research and engineering by translating complex technical needs from researchers into actionable product requirements, ensuring tools address real‑world bottlenecks and scale workflows.
Key Qualifications- Deep proficiency in large language models, including hands‑on implementation, prompt engineering, and integration into complex systems
- Ability to translate LLM capabilities into product roadmaps that accelerate research velocity
- Experience building products for technical audiences, e.g., AI/ML tools
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous research environments
- Deep technical expertise and detailed understanding of neural networks, large language models, reinforcement learning, model evaluation, data annotation
- Experience building products for highly technical users
- Love for ambiguity and creating something new from scratch
- Outstanding ability to clearly articulate product vision and requirements in written documents
- Interest in AI agents; bonus if you’ve worked in the space (officially or through side projects)
