Position Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused and technically driven Field Application Engineer (FAE
) to support the commercialization of Brain Co’s dexterous hands for humanoid robotic
s. Working closely with the Head of Robotics Busines
s, you will serve as the primary technical resource for customer engagements, supporting product demonstrations, system integration, customer training, and technical support while bridging communication between customers and our Engineering team. Automation in Manufacturing Environment

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales Support & Customer Support

  • Support the Head of Robotics Business during customer meetings, product demonstrations, technical evaluations, and proof-of-concept projects.
  • Present product capabilities and recommend technical solutions based on customer application requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to product installation, integration, configuration, and operation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.

Training & Product Enablement

  • Deliver technical training for customers, partners, and distributors.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Help customers successfully deploy and maximize the performance of Brain Co’s products.
  • Gather customer feedback, recurring technical issues, and feature requests.
  • Act as the technical liaison between customers and internal Engineering and Product teams.
  • Support continuous improvement of products, technical documentation, and customer support processes.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in Field Application Engineering, robotics testing, technical support, or solutions engineering. Experience with dexterous hands, robotic manipulators, collaborative robots, humanoid robotics, or other advanced robotic systems is preferred.

Technical

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Linux and command-line environments.
  • Programming experience in Python, C, or C++.
  • Familiarity with CAN, EtherCAT, RS-485, and RS-232 communication protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automation in Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience integrating hardware and software using SDKs, APIs, or developer tools.
  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology company.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
