Overview:Our client is seeking a skilled Deskside Technician to provide on‑site technical support for desktop and laptop devices, including Windows and Mac systems. This position involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting mobile devices, printers, and network peripherals, and maintaining IT asset inventory. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a professional attitude, ensuring users stay productive and technology runs smoothly.
Required Skills:- Hands‑on support experience with desktops and laptops, particularly Windows (7/10) and Mac OS
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Office, printers, scanners, wireless networks, VPN, and mobile devices
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
- Experience with remote support and user incident management through ticketing tools
- Ability to perform repairs, installations, moves, adds, changes, and inventory management of IT assets
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physical ability to walk, stand for long hours, and lift equipment up to 50 pounds
- High School Diploma required; prior corporate end‑user support experience is essential
Skills:
- A+ Certification
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
- ITIL Foundations
- Knowledge of networking, server, and telecommunications systems
- Experience providing executive‑level support
- Familiarity with asset auditing and inventory management
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in a corporate IT support environment, handling challenging situations with professionalism and efficiency
- Flexibility to work on‑call and after‑hours support as needed
- Willingness to support multiple client locations if required
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
