OVERVIEW

The Judicial Council of California’s Information Technology Office is seeking a Senior Technology Analyst for its Managed Services unit. This role focuses on supporting data center operations, engineering and administration while evaluating emerging data center hosting technologies. This role supports local and wide area network design and architecture, and cloud hosting platform solutions while maintaining associated security and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities include supporting the managed services vendor contract for data center operations and cloud-hosted application architectures by addressing business, functional, technical, engineering, and operational needs. The position requires strong hands‑on experience and expertise for data center operations, administration and engineering, network infrastructure design, system configuration, and technical troubleshooting.

The Senior Technology Analyst ensures compliance with applicable laws, guidelines, and Judicial Council policies, particularly in areas involving complex projects, technical requirements, and documentation tracking. The role also serves as a technical subject matter expert for the courts and acts as an escalation point for advanced technical issues.

This position operates under general direction and supervision.

The Judicial Council of California is the policy setting body for the state court system and has constitutionally conferred statewide rule‑making authority. This authority includes developing, advocating for, and allocating the judicial branch budget. A majority of Council members are California state justices and judges; however, the Council also includes lawyers, legislators, and court administrators.

As a government body charged with improving the statewide administration of justice, the Judicial Council has multiple offices with diverse responsibilities relating to court policy and operations.

The Judicial Council offers hybrid work arrangements for many positions. The successful candidate will be expected to work in person at the Judicial Council’s San Francisco or Sacramento office at least two days per week, based on their office leader’s direction, and reside in the areas surrounding these locations.
