A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Network Technician. Position type:
Full Time - Contract role Duration: 6 Months

As a Network Technician, you will:

Be patching cabling between network equipment and customer's network.
Be installing the power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet.
Be installing, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment.
Be installing/swapping out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.).
Be installing, troubleshooting, and de-installing Network General remote Sniffers.
Be completing all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels.
Be acting as interface between customer's associates and management.
Be providing hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure.
Be performing onsite call-through, data, voice, website and security testing.
Be performing back-up testing to ensure all systems are connected to the customer's network as directed.

The ideal candidate will have:

5 years of experience in data communications.
Basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches and routers
Basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in utilizing technical tools such as Sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.
Familiar with 66 Block and 110 Block cross connect procedures.
Understand cable patching processes and procedures.

Pay Range and Benefits:

Pay Range*: $26 - $28/hr.
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
