Principal Azure Cloud Engineer​/Architect

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, early-stage infrastructure company looking for a senior Azure engineer to lead complex customer deployments.

We’re looking for someone who has designed large production Azure environments but has remained very hands‑on. Someone who can get into a customer environment, understand how it’s built, recommend the right architecture, and then work directly in Terraform and Python to implement it.

This is not a traditional Cloud Architect position where the work stops ’re looking for someone who can own both the architecture and the build and stay involved through deployment and production.

• Lead Azure deployments for enterprise customers from initial architecture through production
• Quickly understand existing customer environments across networking, identity, compute, Kubernetes, security, and infrastructure
• Design and build production Azure infrastructure using Terraform
• Work across Azure networking, including VNets, routing, Private Link, Private Endpoints, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS
• Deploy and support AKS/Kubernetes environments
• Work with Entra , Managed Identity, RBAC, Azure Policy, and other Azure services
• Build deployment tooling and automation in Python
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues directly with customer engineering teams
• Help establish repeatable deployment patterns as the company scales

• Experience designing and personally implementing large production Azure environments
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
• Python
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, compute, and security
• Experience operating and troubleshooting infrastructure after deployment
• Ability to work directly with customers and lead technical architecture discussions
• Broad cloud knowledge with an understanding of both Azure and AWS
• Comfortable working in an early‑stage environment where senior engineers are expected to build

• Bicep / ARM
• Experience designing Azure environments across large numbers of subscriptions, regions, or business units
• Consulting, professional services, or other customer‑facing infrastructure experience

You’ll join at an early stage with significant ownership over how the company deploys into some very large and complex Azure environments. You’ll have the ability to work directly with customers, influence the architecture, and then build what you design.
