Vehicle Operations Specialist

Continuum is seeking a Vehicle Operations Specialist to join an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company, offering an incredible opportunity to break into the exciting world of autonomous vehicles. In this position, you'll prioritize safety, maintain vehicle readiness, perform software and hardware tests, and serve as a brand ambassador to the public. You'll collaborate with diverse teams, including computer vision, infrastructure, sound design, vehicle engineering, and ride operations, applying your technical skills to support mission-critical tasks.   • San Francisco, CA– ONSITE
  • 6-12 month contract
  • Level 1 $ 24-$26/hr - Little to no AV experience, somewhat tech-savvy, some driving experience (ex. valet, rideshare, delivery, etc.).
  • Level 2 $ 26-$28/hr - 1-2 years of AV experience, tech-savvy, has prior experience teaching or leading.
  • Level 3 $ 28-$30/hr - 2-3 years of AV experience, experience in troubleshooting (ex. reading Linux outputs, able to read sensor health, etc.), has supported engineering tests (ex. structured testing, closed course testing, etc.) and/or trained other specialists/operators.

As a Vehicle Operations Specialist you will:

  • Monitor vehicle software systems while upholding safe operational protocols and full legal compliance.
  • Execute specific test cases (e.g., navigating construction zones, roundabouts, heavy pedestrian traffic, etc.) and document system performance accordingly.
  • Provide concise, high-quality verbal and written feedback on non-ideal vehicle behaviors and edge-case scenarios.
  • Perform pre-and-post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring sensors (LiDAR, Cameras, Radar) are clean and report major operational concerns accordingly.
  • Work directly with Software and Hardware Engineers to troubleshoot issues identified during your shift(s).
