Preeminent non-partisan boutique in the San Francisco Bay Area has an exciting opportunity for a junior associate attorney to join their Political Law group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience with government, political, regulatory, or similar work or a demonstrated interest in political law. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly-functioning practice to gain experience and receive meaningful mentorship while working on interesting legal issues for a variety of clients.

• Research legal issues and offer guidance on federal, state, and local campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics laws
• Provide advice and counsel on the formation and maintenance of ballot measure and independent expenditure committees
• Assist with the preparation of campaign finance and lobbying reports
• Present on political law compliance issues in client trainings, seminars and conferences
• Advise on nonprofit compliance and governance issues

• Strong academic credentials (top 20%)
• Outstanding research and writing skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A member in good standing with the California Bar
• National candidates encouraged to apply

Compensation range is $160,000 to $200,000+, based on factors including local market data, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, longevity, and relevant degrees, licensing and certifications. Discretionary bonus. The firm also offers competitive benefits.
