Job responsibilities:

• Under the supervision of a Supervising Deputy Attorney General and the Senior Assistant Attorney General, health quality enforcement section legal analysts provide high‑level, complex legal work in administrative, state, and federal court litigation.
• Manage cases and issues on behalf of health care oversight agency clients, including disciplinary actions against health care professional licensees, independently or under the direction of Deputy Attorneys General.
• Provide paralegal assistance in judicial review proceedings of agencies' disciplinary decisions and state/federal civil litigation matters.
• Collaborate with Section members, client staff, investigators, and the public; manage work under tight deadlines, public scrutiny, and pressure.
• Open and close cases in Pro Law, assist Supervising Deputy Attorneys General in case management, draft correspondence and legal pleadings, assist in interviews and litigation tasks.
• Analyze, extract, and process complex and detailed documents related to statistical record keeping to comply with Business and Professions Code section 312.
