Real Estate Paralegal (San Francisco)
LHH is partnering with a respected law firm to hire an experienced Real Estate Paralegal for its San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will bring at least 7 years of law firm experience with a strong background in large-scale real estate development, master‑planned communities, and major subdivision transactions. Experience working with the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) and a solid understanding of the Subdivided Lands Law is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, submission, and organization of all DRE-related forms, applications, and filings. Establish and maintain efficient workflow processes between developers, consultants, attorneys, title, and escrow teams.
- Support all pre‑ and post‑closing activities for complex real estate transactions, including drafting correspondence, basic agreements, document summaries, schedules, exhibits, and consents.
- Prepare and coordinate filings for forming business entities such as LLCs, Subchapter S corporations, C corporations, and nonprofit corporations. Handle amendments, conversions, mergers, cancellations, and related authorizations.
- Conduct and review due diligence, including UCC searches and local transfer requirements.
- Assist with general departmental needs and additional projects as assigned.
Compensation & Work Schedule
- Salary: Target range of $120,000 – $140,000, depending on experience.
- Schedule: Onsite for the first 90 days; after onboarding, the role shifts to a hybrid schedule based out of the San Francisco office, with an expectation of working in office 4 days per week and as needed.
