Litigation Paralegal

Peiffer Wolf Carr Kane Conway & Wise is a national litigation law firm that represents individuals and entities who have been the victims of fraud, negligence, or the misconduct of powerful interests. We have successfully represented tens of thousands of clients throughout the United States in multi-state and multi-district mass-tort, class-action, and individual lawsuits. We are looking for an experienced litigation Paralegal to support the rideshare sexual assault survivor practice area from our San Francisco, CA office. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while working under tight deadlines. Additionally, you should be resilient, empathetic, caring, compassionate and generally comfortable with client communication.

• 5+ years of prior paralegal experience
• Experience drafting, formatting, and filing documents in state and federal court
• Experience formatting pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, deposition exhibits, trial preparation, and motions
• Experience drafting and reviewing routine legal documents
• Experience using PACER, One Legal, and similar platforms for e-filing
• Experience managing diverse caseloads and keeping everyone on task
• Experience calendaring and managing dockets
• Ability and willingness to cite-check legal briefs and run tables, as necessary
• Experience creating and maintaining matters in case management software
• Working knowledge and understanding of federal and state rules
• Working knowledge and ability to navigate federal and state dockets
• Working knowledge and understanding of CA and NDCA civil procedures
• Working knowledge and ability to use West Law
• Experience tracking and submitting contemporaneous time records
• Willingness and ability to help others
• Trial preparation and trial experience a plus

We are looking for someone who is not afraid of new technology and already has a grasp of the basics:
Microsoft Office, Google G-Suite, and Adobe Acrobat. Previous litigation experience and familiarity with legal case management software and Salesforce is desirable.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $110,000 annually or the equivalent hourly rate, depending on the candidate's county of residence. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
