Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Real Estate Attorney
A leading international law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its dynamic real estate practice. The team advises on commercial, residential, and nonprofit transactions across all asset classes and represents prominent individuals and institutions worldwide. With a global presence spanning multiple offices, the firm works with domestic and international investors, developers, institutions, and private clients on complex real estate matters.
JobFunction
- Ability to handle key aspects of complex commercial and residential purchases and sales (e.g. title and survey review, the transaction process, communications with counsel, escrow and principals).
- Experience with finance, commercial leasing (office, retail, industrial, ground leasing and agricultural), conveyancing, entitlements/subdivisions, construction and improvements contracts, and structuring, and drafting to form and advise complex ownership vehicles.
- Knowledge of general real estate taxation issues and compliance with California real estate laws.
- Strong capability to proactively track and advance a transaction from start to finish, including creating and managing closing checklists and due diligence checklists, and preparing for and assisting with closings.
- The role will also involve contributing to the team's profile and undertaking business development activities to establish, develop, and maintain long‑term relationships; including writing articles/posts, attending events/conferences and building networks with private wealth contacts/intermediaries including global and peer firms and counsel.
