Job Description & How to Apply Below

Wing offers drone delivery as a safe, fast, and sustainable solution for last mile logistics. Consumer appetites for on‑demand services are increasing, but current delivery methods are inefficient, costly, and contribute to road accidents and air pollution. Wing’s fleet of highly automated delivery drones can transport small packages directly from businesses to homes on‑demand in minutes. We design, build, and operate our aircraft, and offer drone delivery services on two continents.

Our technology is designed to be easy to integrate into existing delivery and logistics networks, offering a scalable drone delivery solution for a broad range of businesses. Wing is a part of Google’s parent company, Alphabet, and our mission is to create the preferred means of delivery for the planet.

About the Role

Wing is looking for a Regional Inventory Manager, North America to join our Global Logistics Operations team. This role is primarily focused on leading and optimizing logistics and inventory operations within the North American region, ensuring that our drone delivery environments in the US and beyond are supported by a robust, interdependent supply chain. You will manage initiatives that involve various teams across North America and contribute heavily to the region’s key results.

The ideal candidate thrives in balancing tactical day‑to‑day execution with forward‑looking regional strategies, handling moderate to high complexity across several logistics sites.

What You’ll Do
  • Take ownership of North American inventory projects, setting goals, plans, and metrics that align with both regional requirements and larger Wing goals.
  • Lead regional cycle counting programs, wall‑to‑wall physical inventories, and reconciliation processes to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy across all North American sites.
  • Interdependent Execution: Manage work and decisions that impact the NA inventory management function and several other cross‑functional partners, ensuring a unified work product.
  • Operational Problem Solving: Use your specialized knowledge to identify large‑scale problems within regional warehouses and optimize processes to accelerate solutions.
  • Proactive Risk Mitigation
    :
Identify and address potential regional challenges—such as supply chain disruptions or inventory imbalances—before they escalate into major obstacles.
  • Contingency Planning
    :
Proactively develop alternative approaches and enact contingency plans to overcome uncertainty within the North American inventory network.
  • Utilize a strong analytical mindset to test assumptions and make compelling cases for process changes that improve regional efficiency.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Proactively share subject matter expertise with peers in North America to support the team’s collective learning and development.
  • Oversee SKU health, including managing aging, obsolete, and slow‑moving inventory to optimize warehouse space and capital.
  • Demand & Supply Sync: Work closely with procurement and planning teams to manage stock levels, prevent stock‑outs, and handle overstock situations within the region.
  • Warehouse Optimization: Collaborate with site leads to optimize storage layouts, picking paths, and slotting strategies specifically for drone components and hardware.
What You’ll Need
  • 8+ years of experience in inventory and warehouse management, with a specific focus on North American operations and vendor management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to ask the right questions and use data to inform project decisions and address regional challenges.
  • Proven experience handling multiple regional priorities while balancing tactical needs with forward‑looking work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate regional goals and the concerns of stakeholders to reach mutual understanding across the North American organization.
  • A "test‑and‑learn" approach, with a willingness to invest in new ideas for the region and learn quickly from failures.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems (SAP preferred), and querying operational datasets (SQL).
  • Ability to travel…
