Position: Senior Manager, Southeast Growth Partnerships

Senior Manager, Southeast Growth Partnerships / Full-Time / Southeast, U.S.

Senior Manager of Growth Partnerships (Southeast, U.S.)

Cambium is a modern American wood manufacturer, distributor, and technology company connecting and modernizing the wood economy. We work with architects, builders, and leading brands across the built environment, including Amazon, Room & Board, and Equinox. Our work has been recognized by Time's Best Inventions and Fast Company's Innovation by Design Awards. Technology is how we match supply to demand across a fragmented industry.

The American hardwood industry has lost more than half its sawmills in the last two decades. Quality trees go to waste, and the US imports more lumber than it produces, even though domestic capacity could meet nearly all of our needs. Until now, this industry forced a choice: local relationships or national scale, meaningful materials or modern efficiency. We don't think those are real tradeoffs.

We're building the infrastructure to prove it, with modern software, better supply chains, and a clear view of what comes next: a wood economy that's local, efficient, and built to last.

About This Role

As a Senior Growth Partnership Manager for the Southeast Region, you will focus on building and activating strategic regional partnerships that grow our source-verified fiber supply and market access. Your work will directly help Cambium scale a tech-enabled circular economy, connecting tech-tracked lumber with innovative markets. This role requires working at the supplier, operational, and executive levels to grow traceable wood throughput and develop long‑term, high‑impact relationships.

What

You’ll Do Here
  • Build, manage, and strengthen partnerships with suppliers, mills, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Travel regionally to support partner engagement, lead workshops or trainings on timber handling and preparation, and troubleshoot supply‑side challenges in the field.
  • Provide market insights, species‑specific guidance, and operational intelligence to internal teams and partners to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate across teams on system or software troubleshooting, process improvements, and scaling supply operations.
  • Oversee a Coordinator in your region, providing guidance and operational support.
  • Identify opportunities to grow traceable timber throughput, new supplier relationships, and regional market impact.
  • Contribute to organizational knowledge by documenting learnings, best practices, and recommendations for supply growth.
Your Ideal Set of Skills Include
  • 5+ years in forestry, lumber, sawmill, or related supply chain operations, with hands‑on timber experience.
  • Experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, and/or partnerships; transferable skills accepted; willingness to learn critical.
  • Ability to engage across levels—from on‑the‑ground supplier interactions to executive discussions.
  • Familiarity with log species, tree identification, timber grading, and softwood lumber markets is highly valued.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot operational challenges in real time.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally, occasionally overnight.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to convey expectations and insights clearly internally and externally.
