Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities- Partner closely with engineering to understand and project supplier needs before they become blockers.
- Develop a nuanced understanding of the power electronics, wire harnessing, and mechanical supplier landscape to identify the best partners globally.
- Build a robust purchasing process end to end, from quotation to supplier qualification to sustained relationship development.
- Make clear trade-off decisions across cost, volume, quality, and speed as Redwood's business dynamics shift.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of high- quality materials and components.
- Oversee inventory management, demand planning, and logistics to ensure product availability and minimize lead times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to supply chain operations.
- Build, lead, and structure a high-performing supply chain team for products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
- Rapidly synthesize findings and communicate them clearly to senior leaders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the business.
- Deep procurement and supply chain leadership experience, ideally scaling a new product line from prototype to high volume.
- Experience in supplier management and operations at manufacturing scale.
- Hands-on experience developing power electronics supply chains in Asia and North America.
- Experience building and managing supply chain teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to supply chain operations.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically.
- A degree in engineering, supply chain, or business, or equivalent practical experience.
