Welder – Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines)

We are looking for a competent Welder with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proper use and maintenance of appropriate tools and equipment (e.g., welding machines, pneumatic and electric grinders, power saw, and bench drilling machine)
• Welding and repair on deck and engine

Recruitment Criteria:

• Minimum of 12 months sea service experience as Welder
• Working knowledge of spoken English
• Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties
• Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire – Abandonship – Man overboard – Oil Spill)
• Awareness of safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
• Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements
• Minimum 12 months experience as Welder from Shipyard or work in any relevant welding industry. A mandatory additional Maersk Training will be provided.
