Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Welder – Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines)
We are looking for a competent Welder with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proper use and maintenance of appropriate tools and equipment (e.g., welding machines, pneumatic and electric grinders, power saw, and bench drilling machine)
- Welding and repair on deck and engine
Recruitment Criteria:
- Minimum of 12 months sea service experience as Welder
- Working knowledge of spoken English
- Basic knowledge of ISM, ISPS, and security related duties
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire – Abandonship – Man overboard – Oil Spill)
- Awareness of safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
- Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements
- Minimum 12 months experience as Welder from Shipyard or work in any relevant welding industry. A mandatory additional Maersk Training will be provided.
