Location: San Francisco, CA. Salary range: $22.12 - $25.00 per hour.

This position performs technical and mechanical work to maintain building, grounds, amenities and common areas of the property, ensuring cleanliness, appearance, safety and functionality.

• Complete assigned work orders generated from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per company policies and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspection, punch list creation, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks and inspecting finished work.
• Follow procedures for accessing and tracking materials, supplies and equipment, returning unused items, and notifying supervisor of reorder needs.
• Document and file service requests accurately and timely.
• Assist in maintaining grounds and common areas by picking up trash, pressure washing, general cleaning and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑cutting and expense control by fixing parts instead of replacing them when possible and using tools efficiently.

• Comply with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required training and report accidents promptly.
• Periodically inspect work performed by contractors and vendors to verify quality standards meet scope and specifications.
• Assist in conducting routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.

• EPA Type 1, II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification (for Certified Service Technicians).
• All certifications required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

• Entry‑level; related experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work a full‑time schedule Mon‑Fri 8 am–5 pm.

Hourly range: $22.12‑$25.00 per hour (San Francisco).
