We are seeking a qualified General Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight at a designated location for MV Transportation. This role requires strategic planning, management of daily operations, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulations.
Responsibilities- Effectively manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
- Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff.
- Maintain frequent communication with staff and support team members.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance plan to ensure fleet availability.
- Oversee safety and training programs, ensuring compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain client contact to meet or exceed expectations.
- Conduct periodic departmental audits.
- Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, monthly.
- Ensure all location financial metrics are managed continuously, report exceptions, and develop action plans.
- Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Interact with bridge committees to implement policy changes.
- Participate in labor and employee relations activities.
- Provide insight and support for contract renewals.
- Create and present annual budget for the location.
- College degree or equivalent business management experience.
- Management experience required.
- Minimum of five years in operations management and seven years of supervisory experience in a transit environment with knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software.
- Labor/union negotiation experience.
- Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety DOT and FTA compliance.
- MS Office proficiency, strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and high degree of multi-tasking ability.
- Additional duties and responsibilities based on individual contract requirements.
Starting salary range: $100,000 - $125,000
