General Manager

We are seeking a qualified General Manager to provide leadership and operational oversight at a designated location for MV Transportation. This role requires strategic planning, management of daily operations, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulations.

• Effectively manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
• Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff.
• Maintain frequent communication with staff and support team members.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance plan to ensure fleet availability.
• Oversee safety and training programs, ensuring compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain client contact to meet or exceed expectations.
• Conduct periodic departmental audits.
• Review key operational metrics daily, weekly, monthly.
• Ensure all location financial metrics are managed continuously, report exceptions, and develop action plans.
• Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Interact with bridge committees to implement policy changes.
• Participate in labor and employee relations activities.
• Provide insight and support for contract renewals.
• Create and present annual budget for the location.

• College degree or equivalent business management experience.
• Management experience required.
• Minimum of five years in operations management and seven years of supervisory experience in a transit environment with knowledge of Trapeze scheduling software.
• Labor/union negotiation experience.
• Full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and safety DOT and FTA compliance.
• MS Office proficiency, strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and high degree of multi-tasking ability.
• Additional duties and responsibilities based on individual contract requirements.

Starting salary range: $100,000 - $125,000
