We are looking for a people-first, operationally strong Compliance Manager to lead frontline execution and enablement for Klaviyo’s global messaging compliance program (email, SMS, Whats App, RCS). This role ensures day-to-day enforcement is consistent, high-quality, and scalable while freeing senior leadership to focus on strategy, policy, and ecosystem leadership.
This manager will directly lead Compliance Specialists and partner with Compliance Operations Analysts to drive efficiency, quality, and readiness for high-risk cases. Success in this role is measured by SLA adherence, enforcement quality, escalation management, and team capability growth.
How You Will Make a Difference:People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Compliance Specialists, focusing on skill-building, career progression, and readiness to handle complex compliance scenarios
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and calibration sessions to ensure consistency and alignment
- Serve as the first escalation point for high-risk or ambiguous enforcement cases, within defined guardrails
- Oversee day-to-day enforcement workflows, SLA adherence, and quality assurance for Specialists
- Ensure consistent application of policies, risk frameworks, and escalation matrices across channels
- Partner with BPO and AI workflows to operationalize routine enforcement, coaching partners as needed
- Drive improvements to SOPs, playbooks, and operational processes to enable scale
- Ensure effective collaboration with vendors and external partners to remediate compliance issues efficiently
- Transform workflows by putting AI at the center, building smarter systems and ways of working from the ground up.
- Support adoption of internal systems, reporting, and workflow improvements
- Partner with Compliance Operations Analysts to identify gaps and propose operational improvements
- Experienced people manager (4+ years) with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Strong operational thinker with experience improving workflows, systems, and performance through process and data design
- Comfortable guiding teams through ambiguous, high-stakes enforcement decisions within defined frameworks
- Excellent communicator, able to explain compliance expectations and guidance to team members and peers
- Technically curious, familiar with AI/BPO workflows, reporting systems, and messaging platforms
- You’ve already experimented with AI in work or personal projects, and you’re excited to dive in and learn fast. You’re hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows, finding ways to make your work smarter and more efficient.
